We run 3 after school Goori Learning Centre’s each week during the school terms at various locations over the Coffs Coast. Each week we provide learning opportunities for our Aboriginal students to help them improve their reading and writing skills, learn local Gumbaynggirr Language, help with homework and assignments, fitness activities, arts & crafts and much more. Our GLC’s have run with the help of our amazing volunteer tutors for the past 8 years, and we have recently employed a dedicated Education Officer who will develop relationships with local schools to ensure that we are all on the same page when it comes to our children in the schools. We strongly believe that with a good education and a strong connection to culture, our kids can excel in school and employment at the same rate as all Australian students.
